A pensioner has appeared in court charged with the murder of an elderly Bradford woman - almost a quarter of a century after she was killed.
Raymond Kay, (70) from Halifax, appeared before a judge at Bradford Crown Court.
He was arrested in December last year in connection with the murder of 86-year-old Amy Shepherd in 1994.
Kay pleaded not guilty to the charge, and was remanded into custody. He will face trial on June 3, 2019.
Any Shepherd was found dead in her ground floor flat in Wibsey in Bradford. She had lived alone there for 14 years.
Detectives began a massive murder hunt at the time and more than 1000 people were interviewed in connection with the investigation.
