South Yorkshire Police have released CCTV images of two men they’d like to speak to about a knife attack in Barnsley.
In the early hours of Saturday 16th February, the victim had split up an altercation between his group of friends and another group of men.
Later, he was stood alone in a taxi queue at the bottom of Market Hill when the victim was approached from behind and his neck was slashed.
He was rushed to Barnsley Hospital and received stitches for wounds to his neck. The weapon is believed to have been a Stanley knife.
Police would like to speak to the men pictured on CCTV walking along Wellington Street 10-15 minutes after the incident took place.
Detectives believe the men could hold important information and are urging them, or anyone who recognises them, to get in touch.
