A man has been charged in connection with an armed robbery after staff at a Sainsbury's were threatened with a sword.
At 9:30pm on Sunday (June 23) officers were called to the Sainsbury’s Local store on Bradway Road in Sheffield, following reports of an armed robbery.
It was reported that a 19-year-old man, brandishing a sword, entered the store and threatened the staff member at the till. He took around £1000 in cash.
Bradley Hickman,19, has been charged with robbery and possession of a bladed article. A 15-year-old boy, who cannot be named for legal reasons has also been charged with robbery.
