Officers in Sheffield investigating a road traffic collision that has left a three-year-old boy with two broken legs are appealing for witnesses to come forward.
The incident happened on Stradbrooke Drive shortly before 6.30pm this evening [July 16]. Police say the little boy was walking down the road with his mother when he stepped out into the on-coming traffic and was hit by what is believed to be a light blue car.
The driver of the car stopped and spoke with the boy's mum, expressing concern. It's not believed the they were driving inappropriately or dangerously and the boy's injuries are not life-threatening.
Officers would like to trace the driver of the car and any witnesses that may help with their enquiries. Please call 101 quoting incident number 849 of 16 July 2019.
