40-year-old Joe Achilles, who is from Uxbridge, reached a maximum speed of 93 miles an hour in an Audi R8 last November.

He was found guilty at South Derbyshire Magistrates Court of speeding and fined £615, with six penalty points.

His Facebook video was spotted by Derbyshire Police who proved his guilt by timing the distance between two points on the footage.

Eleven average speeds were calculated as the £100,000 super car was driven towards Sheffield in the face of oncoming traffic.

Not one of the eleven speeds was within the 50mph limit.

The police force now has a website on which videos of dangerous driving can be uploaded.
