Police officer charged with causing serious injury by dangerous driving

A North Yorkshire Police officer has been charged with causing serious injury by dangerous driving following an investigation.

Detective Constable Quita Passmore, who is 37, was driving an unmarked police car on the evening of May 5 last year on the Otley Road in Harrogate.

She was responding to an emergency call when it is alleged her car collided with another vehicle, seriously injuring two women and herself.

DC Passmore has been charged with one count of causing serious injury by dangerous driving and is due before Leeds Magistrates Court on 18 December.
