The fire in the redundant building in the Shipyard in Old Goole is now out and the building has been demolished for safety reasons.

"We are very grateful to the sterling efforts of Humberside Fire and Rescue and ABP staff on site as well as local residents for the their patience and understanding whilst we managed this incident.

"We are assisting the Fire Service in determining the cause of the fire and at this stage we are not speculating as to its origins.”
