The Doncaster MP Rosie Winterton is standing for the post of deputy speaker.

The long standing MP ran for Speaker of the House post but lost out to Sir Lindsay Hoyle.

It is thought she will need to fight off competition from the likes of Eleanor Liang, David Amess, Chris Bryant and Harriet Harman.

Any MP can stand for the positions which, unlike the speaker role, allow MP's to remain as members of their political parties.

Nominations end at 6pm tonight.

Three deputy speakers will be appointed.
