Officers in Barnsley investigating the theft of two public defibrillators from the town centre have released a CCTV image of a man they would like to speak to.
At around 4.30am on Wednesday 27 November, it is reported that a defibrillator located in an outdoor cabinet at Barnsley Town Hall was stolen. A short time later it was reported that a second defibrillator was also taken from outside Harris and Co on Huddersfield Road.
Sergeant Steph Coverley said:
These defibrillators were paid for as a result of fundraising by the local community and they can prove vital in saving someone’s life should they suffer a cardiac arrest.
