The family of a teenage boy who had his much-loved bike stolen have praised the courage of a great-grandmother who quite literally fought to get it back to him when someone tried to sell it to her.

Mari Parker was working in her son's antique shop in Barnsley when her suspicions were aroused by the would-be seller.

When he tried to take the bike back, the seventy two year old sprang into action. And as she's been telling Lisa Adlam, she wouldn't hesitate to do it again.
