A man is due to appear in court charged with drink driving - after parking in a marked police bay in York.
On Tuesday evening (14 January) officers on patrol in the city centre noticed a Ford Fiesta had stopped in a police parking space on North Street, outside the police station.
A man got out of the car, and was spoken to by officers. He failed a roadside breath test, and was arrested.
The man, aged 22, was today charged with drink driving and driving without insurance.
