Police have confirmed a man died when he was hit by a vehicle on the M1 in South Yorkshire this morning (January 20).
At around 5:30am, officers received reports of a collision between a vehicle and a pedestrian between Junction 36 and Junction 35A on the M1 Southbound.
A 62-year-old man from Sheffield, was pronounced dead at the scene. His family have been informed and are being supported by specialist officers.
The M1 has now been re-opened following an investigation at the scene.
Detectives are asking anyone who saw the collision, or anyone who may have dashcam footage to contact them.
