Calendar Weather - Colder spell into the new week

SUNDAY:

Rain and stronger winds move east, some late sunshine developing in the west before dusk. Winds easing. Early highs of 9°C before lowering under the clearing skies.

A clear and cold start to the night. Showers will spread from the west and these will fall wintry across the Pennines. Icy patches will become a hazard. Lows hovering just above or below 0°C.

MONDAY:

A noticeably colder day with sunshine and showers, these falling as snow across higher ground. Brisk southwesterly winds, strong over hills. Highs 8°C but dipping.

OUTLOOK:

Staying cold during Tuesday with sunshine and further rain or snow showers. Cloudier and milder midweek with some rain and drizzle.
