The death of a 32-year-old Rotherham woman is now being treated as unexplained by investigating officers, following a post mortem examination.
Emergency services were called at 7.55pm on Wednesday 5 February, following reports a woman was in cardiac arrest in the Drummond Street area of Rotherham.
She was taken to hospital where she died. Formal identification is yet to take place.
A forensic post mortem examination was inconclusive. Detectives are now treating the death as unexplained and not suspicious.
A 59-year-old Rotherham man was arrested on suspicion of robbery and murder. He has since been released without charge and enquiries are ongoing into the circumstances surrounding the woman’s death.
Officers would like to hear from any witnesses to this incident, and are especially keen to trace two men who were seen with the woman shortly before emergency services were called.
