Tracy Brabin raises £20k for Guides in 'shouldergate' dress auction

The Batley & Spen MP Tracy Brabin has raised more than £20,000 for the national girl guiding association, by selling her famous 'shouldergate' dress in an online auction.

The Shadow Culture Secretary had rushed form an event to Parliament to make a point about the treatment of journalists by Number 10, but was ridiculed online when the dress slipped down her shoulder.

Last night, as the week long auction ended, she met girl guides from Roberttown and Norristhorpe in West Yorkshire to tell them the news.
