Two men shot in 'targeted attack' in Sheffield

Police believe shootings were 'targeted attack'

Three men have been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder after the shooting of two men in the Darnall area of Sheffield last night. (February 22nd)

Detectives are treating it as a 'targeted attack' by men known to the victims.

Officers were called just after 10pm to a property on Shirland Place following reports two men had been shot. A 34 year-old man and 27 year-old man were taken to hospital. Their injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.

Three men, aged 40, 32 and 25 were arrested a short time later.

Detective Chief Inspector Jamie Henderson said the investigation was in its early stages, but so far it was believed the group of men who entered the property and fired shots at two men, were known to them. He has appealed for anyone with information to come forward

I am keen to hear from anyone who was in the area at the time or may have seen the car prior to the incident and have dash-cam footage that can assist with our enquiries. I would like to reassure the community that believe this is a targeted attack and we will be carrying out additional patrols in the area.
