Bradford Council has launched a rates relief programme designed to lift the economic burden of the national coronavirus (Covid-19) response.
Eligible businesses will soon receive a letter advising them that the authority will not be seeking business rates payments for the coming months.
The council is working with partners, including the Government, on a range of further support measures in a bid to help as many businesses survive the unprecedented economic pressures caused by the coronavirus.
Councillor Susan Hinchcliffe, Leader of Bradford Council said:
We understand this is an extremely stressful and difficult time for businesses and employees and we are working all hours to do everything we can to help people weather the current economic climate. “Things are changing very quickly and as soon as we have details confirmed by Government we will get the support in place as speedily as possible. I know how much businesses need this financial support.”
