A man in his 60s is latest person with COVID-19 to die in Calendar region

Another patient has died in the Calendar region after contracting the Coronavirus.

The man - who was in his 60s - was being cared for at Castle Hill Hospital in Cottingham near Hull.

He was said to have tested positive for COVID-19 and had underlying health conditions.

He is the fifth person known to have died in our region following the outbreak. Two people from the Wakefield area and one from Harrogate and one from Sheffield have also passed away.

Sadly, we can confirm that a man who was being cared for at Castle Hill Hospital and had tested positive for COVID-19 has died.
