'Much loved' Lincoln lecturer dies after contracting coronavirus symptoms

Clive Kettley had been suffering with symptoms associated with coronavirus

A senior lecturer at the University of Lincoln, who had been taken ill with coronavirus symptoms, has died.

Clive Kettley, taught financial and management accountancy at the university where he had been for 10 years.

He had been teaching online during the Covid-19 outbreak.

The University of Lincoln has said his passing is a devastating blow for family, friends, colleagues and his students.

The University of Lincoln can confirm that a much loved, and long term member of teaching staff has sadly passed away.

"They will be sorely missed and the whole of the University of Lincoln community, staff and students, send their condolences to the family and friends of our dear colleague at this very difficult time."

Colleagues said Mr Kettley had been suffering with symptoms associated with coronavirus but the cause of his death has yet to be confirmed by health officials.

A total of 78 cases of coronavirus have been confirmed in Lincolnshire by Public Health England.
