The Lincolnshire and Nottinghamshire Air Ambulance is launching an urgent fundraising appeal as the charity anticipates losing up to £3m and the capacity to fly at night.

The impact of coronavirus has caused fundraising activities to be cancelled and shops to be closed.

While the team is carrying out life-saving flights each day, night missions have been scaled back and are stopping from May as crew have been called in to support the NHS, are self-isolating or have become ill.

Staff are concerned about the impact a significant income drop could have when service resumes.

In order to safeguard the charity moving forward and ensure we can provide a Helicopter Emergency Medical Service to our local communities, I’m reaching out to people in our communities who are able to make a donation so that we can continue to provide a life-saving service.
