Bob the Builder singer leads Voices of Yorkshire Choir in raising money for hospice

Nick Ingram is the singing voice of both Bob and Builder and Fireman Sam. He's also the leader of the Voices of Yorkshire Choir which is this year raising money for the Martin House children's hospice.

Whilst the singers are in isolation, the choir has released a video on Youtube with Nick singing his arrangement of Queen's 'Somebody to Love' with the rest of the choir lip syncing until the day they can again meet up and sing together.

Passionate about charity work: Nick Ingram

On the video Nick, who has previously had chart success in a band called the Yeah You’s, has arranged and sings all the harmonies. Eventually the choir will sing the song together once rehearsals resume.

The video has now gone live and quickly smashed through the choir's modest fundraising target of £250 in just over an hour. Have a watch...

Voices of Yorkshire started in Oakworth, near Keighley, in January 2018 and has now expanded with four choirs and more than 350 members ranging in age from 15 to 89.

The choir is pictured below, just before lockdown, when it performed at the Victoria Theatre in Halifax raising more than n £1300 for Martin House. Anyone wishing to support the choir's fundraising efforts and donate to Martin House can do so here
