Mental health crisis warning over homes covered in possible dangerous cladding
There are warnings of a mental health crisis being faced by people living in tower blocks with potentially dangerous cladding.
A campaign group has found that almost a quarter of residents nationwide surveyed felt suicidal or wanted to self harm while nine in 10 said their mental health had suffered.
Following the Grenfell Tower fire in 2017 thousands of people up and down the country were found to be living in high rise buildings fitted with a similar covering which can often lead to properties becoming unsellable and people feeling unsafe in their own homes.
