From scandals on the cobbles to family fallouts in the Yorkshire Dales, fans of Coronation Street and Emmerdale are being treated to special, nostalgia-filled episodes this summer.
ITV has announced three new special shows, to air alongside new episodes of the soaps which are currently being filmed in Manchester and Leeds.
Emmerdale is revisiting three generations of its most popular families; the Dingles, the Tates and the Sugdens, in four 30-minute episodes. They will be narrated by former Emmerdale actress, Gaynor Faye.
Coronation Street is looking back at its most memorable moments over the past 60 years, from weddings, to villains and scandals. They have all been condensed into eight 30-minute episodes, narrated by comedian Jason Manford.
The soap is also releasing a four-episode series based on its iconic characters; Ken Barlow, Liz McDonald, Sally Metcalfe and Roy Cropper.
