Doncaster Police appeal: Did you see Claire Anderson in the days leading up to her death?

Detectives are appealing for help from the public to piece together the last movements of a 35 year old woman prior to her death.

Claire Anderson was found unconscious and unresponsive by emergency services at a house on Thorne Road, Doncaster, just before 9.30pm on Saturday 11th July. She was pronounced dead a short time later.

Officers arrested a 38- year-old man at the scene on suspicion of murder. He has now been released under investigation.

A post mortem carried out yesterday was inconclusive.


Temporary Detective Chief Inspector Mark Oughton, who is in charge of the inquiry, said his thoughts are with Claire’s family, who are being supported by our specialist family liaison officers at this time.

Det Chief Inspector Oughton added that even the smallest bit of information might be useful in particular any details about who she might have been with, where she might have been or who she might have spoken to.Anyone with information is urged to call 101 quoting incident number 997 of Saturday 11 July.
