Free parking is being rolled out across parts of Hull city centre to help businesses bounce back from the financial impact of coronavirus in the run-up to Christmas.

Hull City Council is offering limited free parking in its three multi-storey car parks every weekend between now and Christmas, from 10am to 4pm.

The scheme is designed to encourage residents to shop locally, and is being introduced at car parks on Osborne Street, Pryme Street and George Street - meaning charges will be suspended on 1,450 car parking spaces across the centre.

On-street parking and all other car parks will still be chargeable seven days a week.
