The Bishop of Sheffield, Rt Rev Steven Croft says it is hard to imagine a same-sex marriage taking place inside a church. He is urging the government to think carefully about how it tries to change the law to allow gay weddings to take place.

The Bishop of Sheffield has been criticised for speaking out against proposals to allow gay marriage. The Right Reverend Steven Croft is worried that the change will threaten the establishment of the church. But gay rights campaigner Terry George says the new law would not affect it.
