The Olympic torch bids farewell
And the Olympic torch has spent its final day in our region today. Large crowds watched it arrive back in Lincolnshire this morning but by lunchtime it had crossed the border into Norfolk. James Webster followed its final journey starting in Market Deeping.
Paralympian: I'm so pleased that everyone's come out to see it
Sally Reddin won the gold medal at the Paralympic Games of 2000 in the shot putt. She watched the Olympic torch go through Holbeach this morning, wearing her medal, and says she was so pleased to see such large crowds lining the route.

Vicar: It's an amazing turnout in Long Sutton
Father Jonathan Sibley from St Mary's Church in Long Sutton watched the Olympic procession pass close to his church during the morning. He says seeing so many people out appreciating the occasion is what the Olympics is all about.
Torchbearer: Carrying torch helps publicise my charity
Shannon Williams-Holland is 15 and carried the torch through Spalding. She was nominated because of her work for a charity that helps young carers and says it is a great opportunity to publicise the work the good cause does.
Torchbearer: I'm speechless, it's amazing
12 year old Livii Warwood-Hart carried the torch through Bourne this morning and says she was amazed when she saw how many hundreds, if not thousands of people, had turned out to watch.
Geoff Capes: I had to watch the torch in Holbeach
Three-times Olympian Geoff Capes has watched the flame travel through Holbeach. The shot-putter, who also won the title of World's Strongest Man, told us there is nowhere else he wanted to watch the procession.

The Olympic flame has had a rousing welcome through Holbeach as it nears the end of its journey through our region. Once more hundreds of people cheered it on its way including former Olympian Geoff Capes. Street dancers also performed for the crowds as they awaited the procession.
