Thousands of people turned out last night in Bradford's Centenary Square for one of the most spectacular Christmas lights switch-ons in our region. A chandelier of illuminated bell-ringers, drummers and trapeze artists performed 100 metres above the crowds during a display of fire and music.

Reindeer will be travelling through Lincoln today. A pair of the festive animals from Rand Farm Park in Wragby will travel to Lincoln to take residence in City Square from 11am to 3pm.

The charity event will take place in Meadowhall shopping centre in Sheffield tonight. The Wanted, who are Max George, Nathan Sykes, Tom Parker, Jay Parkinson and Siva Kaneswaran will be headlining the night's entertainment.

The British heptathlete and patron of the Children's Hospital Charity, whom supports and enhances the work of The Children's Hospital in Sheffield, will be joining big name acts such as The Wanted and Misha B tonight to celebrate the switch on off this year's Christmas lights.
The Olympic gold medallist will also be signing copies of her book 'Unbelievable: From My Childhood Dreams to Winning Olympic Gold' at the event.
