Man charged with killing parents appears in court

A 28-year-old man has appeared in court charged with the murder of his own parents at their home in Worksop.

Kamil Dantes appeared before Magistrates Mrs Whitelaw and Miss Neale at Nottingham Magistrates' Court this morning.

In a short hearing, his pre-trial hearing was arranged for April 29 at Nottingham Crown Court.

A Polish interpretor translated the charges and explained to Dantes that he would be remanded in custody until then.

A 28-year-old man has been charged over the death of his parents in Worksop.

The bodies of Leszek Dantes and his wife Malgorzata Dantes, both aged 54, were discovered after officers were called to a house in Hardwick Road East at about 7am on Monday 21 April.

A post-mortem examination revealed they died of stab wounds.

Their son, Kamil Dantes, is charged with two counts of murder and is due to appear at Nottingham Magistrates' Court today.

Neighbours pay tribute to couple found dead in Worksop

Neighbours have paid tribute to a couple who were found dead at their home in Worksop. Police say they have arrested a 28-year-old man on suspicion of murder.

It is understood that he is the couple's son. He is being treated in hospital, but police have given no details about his condition or how the couple died.

Police have said the deaths of two people in Worksop in Nottinghamshire are an 'isolated incident'.

A 28-year-old man has been arrested after the discovery of the bodies of a man and a woman in Hardwick Road East at just before 7am this morning (21 April).

“I would like to reassure the community that incidents of this nature are very rare. This was an isolated incident and we have made an arrest. House to house enquiries and patrols will be continuing in the area to reassure residents.”
