Test are due to take place this afternoon (Monday June 23, 2014) to find out how a newborn baby, whose body was found on a cycle path in Hull, died.

A member of the public found the baby girl's body on the path between Rockford Avenue and Lamorna Avenue in Hull around 7.15pm on Saturday June 21, 2014.

Detectives investigating the baby's death have arrested a man and woman both in their twenties, on suspicion of murder.

Baby's body found in Hull

Humberside Police have arrested a man and a woman after a baby girl's body was found in Hull last night. Police were called around 7.15pm by a member of the public who found the body on a cycle path at Rockford and Lamora Avenue, Hull.

Officers cordoned off the scene for inquiries and the body to be recovered. Detectives say following initial inquiries a man and woman were arrested in connection with the baby's death and are currently in police custody.
