Conservative Party candidate Marc Jones has been elected as Lincolnshire’s new Police and Crime Commissioner.
He fought off competition from Victoria Ayling (UKIP), Lucinda Preston (Labour), and Daniel Simpson (Lincolnshire Independents).
Jones who received 48,033 votes overall will succeed outgoing Independent Alan Hardwick in the post.
Victoria Ayling finished second with 37,420 votes.
The Conservative Party remains in control of Craven District Council following this year's local elections.
Thirty seats were contested with average turnout at 41%.
The Conservative Party has increased its majority control of Harrogate Council by two seats following yesterday's local elections.
Following the elections, the breakdown of Harrogate Borough Council is now: 37 Conservative (+2), 15 Lib Dem, 2 Independent, 0 United Alliance (-2)
The Conservatives have held on to Selby District Council, winning 22 seats. Labour won eight seats, along with one independent councillor.
Stuart Andrew holds the Pudsey seat for Conservatives with an 8.8% (4501) majority, more than doubling his margin from 2010.
Conservative Robert Goodwill has been re-elected as MP for Scarborough and Whitby.
