Teenager dies after car crashes in ditch

A 19-year-old man has died after a car crashed into a ditch on West Fen in Stickney, near Boston, in the early hours of this morning. Police were called to the scene at 1:22am this morning. A silver Vauxhall Corsa entered a ditch and hit some trees.

A 19-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene. Another 19-year-old man from the vehicle was arrested, he is not thought to be seriously injured.

Police say they are in the process of tracing and informing the family and friends of the deceased. The road is still closed whilst officers examine the scene. They are appealing for any witnesses to contact them via the Lincolnshire Police Collision Witness Hotline 01522 558855.


Two critically ill after fatal crash in Sheffield

A man has been killed and two teenagers are in a critical condition in hospital following a car crash in Sheffield. It happened just after seven o'clock last night on Far Lane in Wadsley. The car lost control, hit a sign and a lamppost before overturning and hitting a wall.

The 18 year old driver was taken to hospital with serious injuries along with another 18 year old. A 20 year old man died at the scene. The third passenger in the car escaped with minor injuries.

Fatal crash near Selby

North Yorkshire Police are appealing for witnesses to a fatal crash involving three vehicles near Camblesforth, in the Selby area last night. It happened on the A1041. One driver, a 59 year old local man, died at the scene.

Three other people were taken to York District Hospital. Police are appealing for anyone who witnessed the crash or saw any of the vehicles - a white Ford Transit van, a grey Skoda Fabia and a black Renault Clio - prior to the accident to get in touch.
