Artist takes on flytippers in Wakefield art project

Many communities are blighted by the problem of illegal fly tippers but while the roadside dumps may be a blot on the landscape, one woman is turning them into works of art, by covering them in material to give them a more pleasant look.

Not everyone may agree, but it's all part of a new arts project in Wakefield, as Sarah Clark reports.

Flytipping in Sheffield will "ruin" businesses

Small businesses in Sheffield say illegal flytipping is on the rise and are now worried it will affect trade.

Despite warning signs, piles of rubbish have been dumped on large open areas on Sutherland Road. Last August Sheffield City council changed bin collections from weekly to fortnightly.

Josie Geleer, from Starweld engineering company says the problem is getting worse.
