Police have released CCTV stills of a man they want to speak to urgently after two men sustained stab wounds in the Frodingham Road area of Scunthorpe earlier today.
Officers were called to the scene at around 1pm following an altercation in the Frodingham Road area between Porter Street and Percival Street.
A 20-year-old man was taken to Scunthorpe General Hospital and a 29-year-old was taken to Hull Royal Infirmary - both having sustained serious non-life threatening injuries.
Police are appealing for help to trace a white male, aged between 18 to 24, and around 6 feet tall with short brown hair in a crew cut style, wearing a blue hooded top, blue jogging bottoms and black trainers, who was seen running from the area.
“We are treating this matter extremely seriously and have a large number of resources in the area carrying out enquiries to locate and arrest the third man involved in the altercation.
“The altercation was a contained incident involving three people who were clearly known to one another. As a consequence the outstanding man is not believed to pose any danger to the wider public.
“We appreciate that the community will be alarmed by the incident and we will be providing reassurance and support with extra high visibility patrols in the area."
Two men were taken to hospital last night with stab wounds after an incident in Boston.
Police and ambulance were called to a house in West Street just after 7pm where it is believed there had been an altercation and two men were injured. They were taken to the town's Pilgrim Hospital for treatment.
Three men have been arrested in connection with the inciden and. West Street was closed off whilst it was examined as a crime scene.
A 27-year-old man is hospital being treated for a serious stab wound after an incident this lunchtime in Bransley.
Police were called at around 12.55pm to reports a man had been injured in Wellington Crescent, in Worsbrough. His injury is not believed to be life-threatening.
It is reported that the 27-year-old man was in an altercation with another man. The second man is thought to have left the scene and officers are now trying to find him.
A 38-year-old man from Bradford is in a serious but stable condition after he was stabbed outside a pub in Crag Road, in Shipley, and taken to Leeds General Infirmary.
Three men aged 33, 38 and 39 along with a 38-year-old woman, all from Bradford, were arrested on suspicion of assault.
The assault took place around 6:30pm on Wednesday 21 August and anyone with further information is asked to call Airedale and North Bradford CID on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.**
Five men are being held by police after the murder of an 84-year-old woman and the stabbing of a 9-year-old boy in Shipley. Police have revealed this lunchtime that an eight year old girl was also chased by one of the suspects. Chris Kiddey filed this report from Shipley.
The family of Dimitrina Borisova, a 46-year-old woman who died after being stabbed in Gleadless in Sheffield last month, have paid tribute to her.
They said: “We would like for people who knew Dimitrina to know that her family had always loved her unconditionally. We are deeply grieved for her loss and we admire her determination and fight for life.
"Despite the difficulties in her life, we have always supported her and believed in her. She was a very strong person, full of love and life. She was fighting for a better life for herself and the people she loved."
Detectives are still investigating what happened.
A man is critically ill after being stabbed at a house in Gainsborough.
Lincolnshire police say they were called to the property in Ashcroft Road just after midnight last night.
The 29 year old victim needed surgery for his injuries. He's now in a critical but stable condition at Lincoln County Hospital.
Officers have arrested a 30 yr old man and a 15 yr old boy.
Police forensic teams are examining what they believe was the scene of the stabbing.
The family of Joshua Green have appealed for information which may help police to trace his killers.
He was stabbed during a New Year celebration in Sheffield.
Joshua’s girlfriend Aisha McNellie appealed for information.
“We, Josh’s family, have come up against a brick wall and cannot move forward. We need your help to bring us closure to this heart-wrenching and horrific situation.
“We may have laid Josh to rest but we can’t rest as we are in torment.
“Joshua was a well-loved young man, who was beginning to make a positive contribution. He was applying for university and making a home for his family, who were his greatest joy and achievement. He has two beautiful children who are now fatherless through no fault of their own.
Det Supt Terry Mann on the steps outside the Sheffield club where Joshua Green was stabbed to death in the early hours of New Year's Day.He made a fresh appeal for information despite already speaking to many of the people in the club that night.
"While many people have provided us with statements others have chosen to stay silent or have refused to help."
Four people are answering bail in relation to the killing but no-one has been charged.
