Man robbed at knifepoint for his bike

A man was robbed at knifepoint for his bike on the Trans Pennine Trail near to the Rother Valley Country Park.

The 53-year-old was knocked off his bike near to the Cable Water Ski in the country park by three men who were riding on a 1970s Lambretta style scooter yesterday lunchtime.

One of them threatened him with a knife and stole his bike, mobile phone and other items. They fled in the direction of Beighton. The men are described as white and aged in their late teens to early twenties.

DC Ian Martin said:

“We have provided extra, high visibility police patrols at the park and on the trail, however we do believe this to be an isolated incident. Anyone with any information I would urge to please come forward.”
