Archbishop supports troops

The Archbishop of York, Dr. John Sentamu has expressed his support for British troops following the death of six men in Afghanistan, including five from 3rd Battalion Yorkshire Regiment. He'll be taking questions at Bishopthorpe Palace.

Sentamu: I Want To Meet Families

John Sentamu said the people of Yorkshire should be very proud of the soldiers who've been killed. Today he filmed a message of support and lit two candles in the Chapel at Bishopthorpe.

The Archbishop said he hoped that the people of Yorkshire will turn out in force to show their support. In due course he wants to vist the families to hear at first hand about the loved ones they've lost.
