Peregrine chicks are nesting on top of St George's Church in Sheffield, which is one of the University of Sheffield's lecture theatres. A nest box was set up three years ago in the hope of attracting South Yorkshire's first urban falcons by Dr David Wood and the estates department at the university.
In January 2011 the pair set up home and six weeks ago they had their chicks. The female chick has flown for the first time today, but is stuck in a tree and too scared to fly back. The boy does not fancy having a go yet.
