Bradford named as hotspot for uninsured drivers

Bradford has been named as one of the worst places in the country for uninsured drivers. The BD8 and BD9 postcodes are listed as two of the worst areas nationally. Research shows motorists break the law because policies are too expensive.

Research undertaken among communities in West Yorkshire highlights that a third of people still do not understand the current laws on car insurance, so are risking fines of up to £5,000; points on their licence and having their cars seized by police.

Across the UK, there are currently an estimated 1.2 million uninsured drivers.
