21 protestors , including 3 from Leeds, are being sued for £5m by energy giant EDF for their part in a week long occupation of West Burton power station last October.

Energy company drops lawsuit

The energy company EDF has dropped a multi million pound lawsuit against activists who occupied part of a power plant in north Nottinghamshire. They had occupied part of the site last October, with several protestors strapping themselves to a cooling tower.

But the energy company has faced a strong public backlash and has withdrawn the action, in a move described as a "humiliating climbdown". Grace Melody-Gardner reports.
