Parents at school threatened with closure ask to share head teacher

Parents at an East Yorkshire primary school at risk of closure are calling for education bosses to let them share a headteacher with another school.

Last month dozens of mums and dads took part in a demonstration to try and keep Dunswell Primary in Hull open. Today they attended a council meeting to put forward their suggestion to share a headmaster with nearby Woodmansey Primary School.

The authority is looking at closing Dunswell in July 2014 - after the old headteacher retired.
