New link road for Sleaford?

A council in Lincolnshire will decide later today whether to use a compulsory purchase order to buy a strip of land, which it says is key to bringing about millions of pounds worth of regeneration work in Sleaford.

North Kesteven District Council says purchasing the land on a recreation site, which the Town Council's refusing to sell, will help bring about a new link road - which will ensure a new supermarket will be able to come to the town.

It also plans to develop the well known Maltings site. The council says the regeneration project's worth more than 100 million pounds for the area.
