Detectives investigating the disappearance of missing schoolboy Ciaran Sweeney in Mansfield are continuing to investigate after a body was discovered yesterday.
Nottinghamshire Police’s Underwater Search Unit found the body of the teenage boy at about 10.15am in Ratcher Hill Quarry.
A Post Mortem examination took place last night but the results are expected to take several weeks to be confirmed.
Police are awaiting the formal identification which is likely to be confirmed by the end of the week.
