A road in Grimsby is to be permanently renamed in honour of war hero Matthew Telford.

The memorial will be officially unveiled on Sunday in a formal parade and ceremony.

Scartho Park, the street which runs through Scartho Top, will be renamed Matthew Telford Park, and will be marked by a plaque.

Sergeant Matthew Telford, of the 1st Battalion The Grenadier Guards, was one of five British soldiers killed in an attack in Helmand Province, Afghanistan, in 2009.
