Artillery gun fire has officially launched the homecoming parade for the 1st Regiment Royal Horse Artillery in Doncaster. Soldiers from the Regiment used a 105mm Light Gun to fire a gun salute on land south of the Civic Hall just after midday.
The parade that marks their return home from Afghanistan and the end of a decade on military operations. Following the gun fire some 250 soldiers led by 22 horses from the famous King's Troop Royal Horse Artillery will step off through the city's streets
