Leeds man absconds from Derbyshire prison

Police are searching for a Leeds man who has absconded from an open prison in Derbyshire. Michael Francis Sayers, who is 33-years-old, was sentenced to six years in custody in 2012 for conspiracy to commit robbery. He escaped from HMP Sudbury on November 22 2013.

It is believed he has connections across the country but has strong links to Leeds and may be in this area. He is white, 5ft 6ins tall, medium build with short brown hair and blue eyes. He uses a number of aliases.

Anyone who has seen him or known his whereabouts is asked not to approach him but contact police.
