Leeds United winding-up petition dismissed by High Court

The winding-up petition issued to Leeds United by Sport Capital has been been dismissed by the High Court. The case was adjourned on June 10, 2014, but the Championship side were ordered to pay back £958,000 before June 23, 2014, which was completed last week.

The money was given as a loan but a winding up petition was issued after the date for repayment was missed. The club's bank account can now be unfrozen, so their staff can now be paid.
