Free breakfast for schoolchildren to raise awareness of throwaway culture
Schoolchildren across Leeds have been given free breakfast this morning, using food which would have otherwise been thrown away.
10,000 children across the city were given free toast in a campaign spearheaded by Richmond Hill Primary.
The school runs a 'donate what you can afford' cafe for the community and provides free breakfast for its 600 pupils.
Today, it also provided food for schools across Leeds to promote the scheme.
