The 45 year old, who joined the Iron in October 2014 to become first team coach under Mark Robins, had been in charge on temporary basis for the past 5 games alongside fellow coach Andy Dawson. During this time Daws and Dawson guided the team to 4 wins and a defeat.

Dawson will act as Daws' number 2, with Scunthorpe 13th in League 1, 8 points adrift of the playoffs and 11 points above the relegation zone.
