An inquiry into the altercation between Yorkshire UKIP MEP Mike Hookem and colleague Steven Woolfe begins today.
The pair clashed at the European parliament on Thursday following a discussion about who would take on the leadership of the party, after which Mr Woolfe collapsed and was taken to hospital. He has since recovered.
MEPs Steven Woolfe and Mike Hookem have been reported to French police over their altercation at the European Parliament.
Mike Hookem has denied hitting Steven Woolfe, after an altercation that left his fellow UKIP MEP in hospital.
The investigation into the clash between two Ukip MEPs may struggle to get the bottom of what happened, the party's chairman has admitted.
