The A1 is closed in both directions in North Yorkshire after a lorry fire.
The motorway is shut between the A6136 (Catterick) and A66 (Scotch Corner) after the vehicle, which is carrying straw, caught fire this morning.
North Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service are on the scene, and officers say the driver is safe and well.
Diversions are in place, but drivers are being advised to avoid the area.
Emergency services have not yet confirmed how many people have died in the collision, which happened just before 1am.
The roads around Yorkshire's tallest building are expected to remain shut until 10am.
The M1 is shut northbound J42 at Lofthouse, causing congestion on the M1 to J39 A636 (Wakefield / Durkar).
